Lady Gaga tweets Maria Aragon's 'Ellen' guesting

MANILA, Philippines – After Maria Aragon’s appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” international artist Lady Gaga expressed her gratitude to Winnipeg’s rising celebrity for giving her latest song “a life.”

“Such a doll. Monstercovers are all beautiful. I love this song so much, thanku for giving it life,” Lady Gaga wrote in her official Twitter account on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).

Along with Lady Gaga's post is a YouTube link of Aragon's appearance on the "Ellen" show where she performed “Born This Way.”

During her guesting, Aragon told DeGeneres that she chose to sing “Born This Way” because she was moved by its meaning.

“Because of the meaning of the song. It has a great meaning. It’s about just being yourself because God made who you are and you’re no different than anybody else,” she said.

On March 3, the 10-year-old Filipino-Canadian will appear in Lady Gaga's concert in Toronto.

Lady Gaga is behind hit songs "Telephone," "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance."

'Overnight fame'

In an interview with Winnepeg Sun, Aragon’s older sister, Linger, said her whole family is ecstatic over Aragon's “overnight fame.”

“We were focused on getting her on 'Ellen' because that was her dream,” she said.

Despite her newfound popularity, the Aragon family said they wish that the 10-year-old YouTube sensation would still have a normal life.

In her official Twitter account, meanwhile, Aragon said she is still on cloud nine.

“I really can't believe what's happening these past few days, my goodness! im really overwhelmed,” she tweeted.

She also told Lady Gaga that she can’t wait to meet her personally in Toronto. “@ladygaga cant wait to meet you in person! so stoked! so stoked! so stoked.”
